# capy secrets: Inspect Secret Names Across an Organization

> Inspect secret names and locations across the active organization without displaying values.

## Synopsis

```bash theme={null}
capy secrets
capy secrets --project api --branch production --json
```

## Description

`capy secrets` reads the active organization's secret index. It groups entries by name and value hash, with locations and reader metadata. It never requests or prints a secret value.

On a full terminal, the command opens an interactive screen. With `--json`, it writes JSON. When standard input or output is not a TTY, it automatically writes the same JSON shape so scripts never receive an interactive screen. Filter names case-sensitively with `--project` and `--branch`.

## Flags

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--json` | Emit the secret index as JSON. |
| `--project <name>` | Keep rows with a location in this project. |
| `--branch <name>` | Keep rows with a location on this branch. |
