# capy profile and use: Manage CLI Profiles

> List, inspect, select, and remove Capy cloud and self-hosted profiles.

## Synopsis

```bash theme={null}
capy profile list
capy profile show [name]
capy use <profile>
capy profile remove <name>
```

## Description

Profiles select the Capy service configuration the CLI uses. `capy byoc` is the usual way to add a self-hosted profile; these commands select, inspect, and remove profiles afterwards.

`capy profile list` marks the active profile. `capy profile show` uses the active profile when no name is supplied. `capy use` changes the active profile. `capy profile remove` removes the named profile and refuses removal when it would leave no valid active profile.
