# capy list: List Variables on a Branch

> List variable names and connector metadata for the active branch without showing values.

## Synopsis

```bash theme={null}
capy list
capy list --json
```

## Description

`capy list` reads `keep.lock` and lists the variable names on the active branch. Managed values include their connector provider in terminal output. JSON output also includes connector metadata such as the provider, source, account id, fingerprint, and relevant timestamps.

The command does not authenticate, contact a service, decrypt a value, or print a value. It needs an initialized project and an active secret branch.

## Flags

| Flag | Description |
| - | - |
| `--json` | Emit the project, branch, variable names, and connector metadata as JSON. |
