# capy byoc: Connect to a Self-Hosted Capy Instance

> Create or select a profile for a self-hosted Capy instance.

## Synopsis

```bash theme={null}
capy byoc
capy byoc https://capy.example.com
```

## Description

`capy byoc` connects the CLI to a self-hosted Capy instance. With a URL, Capy validates that instance before saving or selecting its profile. Without a URL, it collects the connection details interactively.

Use the global `--web` flag to render supported interaction in a local browser: `capy byoc --web`.
